Klaus Mainzer is a german philosopher and systems scientist.
Having studied mathematics, philosophy and physics the focus of his research lies in modeling science and society by complex dynamical systems. His broad variety of topics, of which his list of publications is evidence, range from complex systems, such as self-organisation and chaos theory to cognitive and computer science, life science and economics.
He is director of the Carl von Linde-Academy (TU Munich), member of several international institutes such as the Institute for Advanced Study (TU Munich), International Research Center for Education and Information of the Beijing University or the Academia Europaea (London).
